Personal log of Stanislaw Wisniewski.

I have finally transferred to the U.S.S. Tornado after a brief encounter with some of the crew, whom I found reasonably personable. I sincerely hope that I will not find reason to re-assess that evaluation during my service.

Upon arrival I was shown to my quarters, which are modest but otherwise most adequate, and given a brief tour of the ship, certainly much shorter than that when I joined the Singapore though in the Tornado's defence the Rhode Island-class is considerably more compact than the Nebulas.

The ship is a fine piece of up-to-date Starfleet technology, more recent than the Nebulas and most definitely newer than some of the antique systems I trained on at the Academy. I made sure to read up on the specifications before I arrived, but sometimes one has to see things in person for it really to have an impact.

I will be reporting for duty in little over half an hour, and from there I can begin to once again make headway with my life. I hope that my time here will be fruitful for both myself and my crewmates.
