Lieutenant JG Mindo

Name Mindo

Position Chief Engineering Officer

Rank Lieutenant JG

Character Information

Gender Male
Species Eloi-Feserian
Age 25

Physical Appearance

Height 3'6"
Weight 43 lbs
Hair Color Light Brown
Eye Color Blue
Physical Description Mindo's appearance suggest that he is a boy of about 15 years old. At 3'6” he is used to being the shortest officer in the room. He has a very youthful face, much like other Feserians. Though stereotypes cast on the Feserians (through the great Balok) as being bald and creepy, Mindo is from a different continent than Balok, a more northern part of the planet Feseria, “Eloi,” where hair is more common. It should also be noted that Eloi-Feserians do have the pointed ears seen on the other inhabitants on that planet, and also that Eloi-Feserians are almost a foot taller than their neighbors. Like most of his race, Mindo is very androgynous. His young appearance will continue to be present until the day he dies. It is hard to tell a Feserian's age.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Mindo is eccentric, sometimes a bit impulsive. He is also an out-of-the-box thinker, making him a good choice for any crew. His sense of humor is second to none, and his demeanor is almost always bright, and he takes great pride in his work. This is generally an accurate description of a person of his race. The description doesn't stop there, though. And Mindo is no exception to the rest of it...
Strengths & Weaknesses He's very intelligent, innovative, and great with people of any kind. Mindo likes to think he doesn't have any weaknesses. This is a big weakness. At the very least, Mindo is remarkably small and is sometimes mistaken for a child. This is true not only of Feserians from the continent Eloi, but all Feserians. Another weakness is his constantly self-destructing personal life. He really likes alcohol too.
Ambitions While he definitely has the congeniality and drive to be a starship captain (one day), he prefers a quiet spot in the center of town (er, ship) in Engineering, the subject in which he excelled at the Academy. Mindo is pretty much sticking to that. The last time he had ambitions it didn't really go that well.
Hobbies & Interests Mindo will try anything twice, and sometimes even more. He's a lover of art, music, and literature. He usually prefers to spend his time in the officer's lounge (Ten Forward?) socializing and telling stories.

Personal History Mindo grew up on Feseria in the northern continent of Eloi. He has some fond memories of the place, but didn't like it enough to stay. It is hinted sometimes that he was not well-liked, which is very odd for Eloi-Feserians. His true life began while at the Academy. At first heavily disliked by professors, Mindo managed to dodge being kicked out of the Academy after several incidents involving "disruptive personal relations" with some of his peers, as well as accidents and goofs under the influence of Romulan Ale.

Mindo is not the most well-behaved being in Starfleet. In fact, he's almost the worst. Many incidents have been documented about Mindo's "unruly" and "inappropriate" conduct at the Academy and on board various ships.

It was on board the USS Rhys where Mindo quite possibly faced his greatest crime. For thirteen months, it is believed Mindo was tangled in a web involving a distinguished ambassador's husband, an unknown amount of stolen Starfleet credits, and a blackmail attempt on Captain Davies which was successful for over a year. Mindo confessed and was reprimanded, demoted, and given a new assignment on the Tornado. While Mindo's confession is on record, Mindo did not face a court martial and ultimately the case was dismissed. Captain Davies was to be awarded for his honorable service during the incident, however he was found dead in his home the morning before the ceremony. The cause of death was inconclusive.
Service Record (I have never played this character in Bravo Fleet before, but here is a made up service record for him)

USS Tigerclaw - Engineering officer (10 months)

USS Paladin - Assistant Chief Engineer (7 months)

USS Taggert - Assistant Chief Engineer (one year, one month)

USS Rhys - Chief Engineer (one year, eight months)

As for me, the player, I've been doing this since the late 90s in Tango Fleet. Since then I've played off and on, usually coming back every three or four years. I have had positions like counselor, helm, security guard, marine, and chief engineering officer on several ships. My preferred positions are either counselor or chief engineer. Regarding Mindo, I believe he would be best used in engineering. That is my preference, however I am open to other ideas.
